The Rutherford Community Band was founded in 1941 as a musical outlet for
adults and entertainment for the community. Since 1963 Raymond Heller became the director and established a year round program
of indoor and outdoor summer concerts for the Rutherford Community.
Our Band
The membership is varied in age, background and musical ability. The band
is composed of brass, woodwind and percussion and performs a wide variety of musical pieces. Marches, showtunes, popular standards
and classical arrangements are always on our program.
The Rutherford Community Band rehearses at Rutherford High School.

Upcoming Performances
Holiday Concert
Saturday, December 6th at 8 pm Enjoy
our holiday concert at the Rutherford High School. Highlights of the concert include; Christmas Festival, Rhapsody for
Hanukkah, Sleigh Ride, Stars and Stripes for Christmas and more. Admission is free.

Becoming a Member
New members are welcome to join the band. Please call the Director or attend an open band rehearsal Monday nights at 7:30
p.m. in the Rutherford High School Band Room.
